Record des Jahres, Song des Jahres und Newcomer – Drei der Vier Hauptpreise, dazu noch Best Pop Vocal Album Sam Smith ist mit seinem Hit Stay With Me der Superstar der Grammys. Prince überreichte den Preis für Album des Jahres an Beck (Morning Phase) und AC/DC rockten erstmals seit 1994 wieder mit Drummer Chris Slade.
